Your balance is your hand. The chain does the rest.
Hold DRAW and you stand on the street. There is no staking, no deposit, no NFT to lock, nothing to approve. Trading arms draws, the block hash settles them, and every rule that protects you is on this page with the number the contract uses.
Stacks, floors and leaving
Your stack is your balance above a protected floor. The stack is what a draw can see and take. The floor is yours no matter what.
Supply
DRAW, minted once at launch and never again. There is no mint function in the contract.
Safety floor
At or below 5 DRAW you leave the street. Your tokens are still yours, you simply cannot be drawn on. Claim your ETH before you shrink, because whatever a hand leaves unclaimed when it goes passes to the hands still standing.
Percentage floor
You always keep 75% of your all-time peak. The most a draw can ever cost you is 25% of your high-water mark, and it takes it in slices, never in one bite.
Idle decay
Billed when you claim or when your hand wins, for the time it sat idle, and burned. Capped at half the stack. A wallet that only ever holds is never charged. This stops a big hand from idling between wins for free.
How a duel actually settles
Nobody presses a button. Draws are armed by trading volume and settled a block later from a seed nobody can predict or aim.
Volume arms it
Every 0.05 ETH of swap volume arms one draw. One swap can arm at most four, so a whale trade cannot empty the street.
It waits one block
Arming and settling never share a transaction or a block. On Ethereum that is about 12 seconds.
The seed is frozen at the arming
The outcome comes from the hash of the block the draw was armed in. That value did not exist yet when the draw was armed, and it never changes afterwards. Waiting cannot re-roll it. Extra trades cannot re-roll it.
The ladder picks the pair
Hands sit in power-of-two size tiers. A hand can only face the tier directly below it, which keeps the size gap between 1.25x and under 4x. A whale never touches a small holder.
Most of it burns
Of what the loser gives up, 95% is burned and 5% goes to the winner. Winning is deflation, not robbery. The real prize is ETH.
Stale draws expire
A draw nobody settles within 10 minutes is dropped instead of settled on stale conditions.
NOBODY CAN AIM
The winner must be an established hand, the pair comes from a sealed seed, and the ladder means a large holder cannot reach down the street to pick off small ones. The most anyone can do is be big and wait.
The eight things keeping you standing
Every one of these is a constant in the contract.
New hand cover
A fresh hand cannot be drawn on for its first 30 seconds, so a buy can never lose in the same breath. Keyed to your first buy ever, so selling out and rebuying does not refresh it.
Cover after a loss
Lose a draw and you are under cover for an hour. It survives buying and selling.
Rest
Win three in a row and you rest for 80 minutes. While resting you can neither draw nor be drawn on. This is what stops one hand from farming the street.
The floors
The percentage floor caps your lifetime losses at a quarter of your peak, and the 5 DRAW safety floor means you can never be wiped out.
The ladder
Only a hand between 1.25x and 4x your size can ever face you, however big it grows.
Bounty cooldown
A hand drinks from the bounty once every six minutes, so quick wins in a row stop paying.
Established hands only
A wallet must be five minutes old before it can draw on anyone. Nobody can fund a fresh wallet, size it to the top of a tier, and point it at a victim.
Dust is never a target
Hands below a dust threshold are skipped, and a hand at the safety floor is off the street altogether.
WHY REST EXISTS
We simulated a full day with fifteen identical wallets making identical trades. One of them still won 42% of every draw and never lost, because the biggest hand in a tier keeps getting picked. Rest brings that down to 37.5%, and no single hand can farm the street. The three largest hands still win most draws, because they are each other's only valid opponents. Fixing that would mean letting the top tier be drawn on from below, which would break the under 4x promise everything else rests on.
Where every fee goes
Every trade pays a fee in ETH. It is split between the protocol and the bounty. Holders earn ETH by winning draws, never tokens.
| Charge | Taken in | Goes to |
|---|---|---|
| Protocol share | ETH, on buys and sells | The protocol treasury, fixed at deployment. |
| Bounty share | ETH, on buys and sells | The standing pool every winner drinks from. |
Holders earn ETH
Your ETH comes from winning draws: the bounty prize and what the loser had banked. It is claimable once your hand is one hour old. There is no token reward that quietly becomes sell pressure.
Losing still pays
When you lose a draw you keep 10% of your banked ETH to claim. The winner inherits 70%. The rest recycles into the bounty.
The winner's prize
A win drinks 20% of the standing bounty. The bounty can never be emptied in one go.
The protocol can collect the bounty
One function, callable only by the protocol, collects the standing bounty to buy back DRAW. It cannot touch anyone's balance or claimable ETH, and every trade keeps refilling the pool.
The street moves when the market is quiet
Draws are armed by volume but have to be settled by someone sending a transaction. Left alone, an unlucky trader would pay the gas for draws they did not cause, and a quiet street would freeze.
Anyone can call resolveEats() to settle due draws without trading. A small bot does this on a timer. It cannot cheat. The seed is frozen at the arming, so settling earlier or later cannot change who wins. It is a clock, not a player.
